Welcome to a new category of posts on SallieDraper.com – FAV 5!
Periodically I’ll share five of my favorite things spanning a variety of topics from family to church to techie with a fair sprinkling of personal favs as well. This week’s inaugural post is just that, a personal fav list of “girlie” blogs – written by women, for women and typically coving topics including crafts, cooking, mom duties, crafts, kids, photography, and crafts. All great stuff that interests me for a variety of reasons.
So without further ado, here are my FAV 5 Girlie Blogs (in no particular order because I couldn’t possibly rank them – they are all tied for #1) …
- Pioneer Woman – The day I discovered the Pioneer Woman I sat and read her entire Black Heels to Tractor Wheels 40-entry serial blog post which detailed the story of her courtship and wedding to her cowboy husband, affectionately known as Marlboro Man. I was hooked and have enjoyed Ree’s writing (and recipes and photography and Bassett Hound, Charlie) ever since!
- Paper Delights – A dear friend and sister in Christ, Karen, who also happens to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, blogs about stamping and her Christian walk. I love how she lets her light shine in all that she does!
- Whatever – Meg’s life is full of color and crafts and family. And she takes amazing photos. A splash of joy in my day!
- The Macs – I first started reading Jess when her beautiful baby girl was stricken with cancer and eventually went home to be with Jesus. I mourned for her loss and rejoiced in the victory won, all from afar. And I have followed her journey since then as she shared her grief and found joy in her Savior. A wonderful, honest read with crafts and photos of her precious baby boy to boot!
- Lutherans in Mexico – Missionary wife Rachel shares events from the Mexico mission field. Life in the Mexican parsonage is much the same as it is here in the USA, but then again, maybe not!
Lagniapppe (because how could I possibly stop at five in this category??) …
Linette Marie, Chosen By Christ and The Simple Homemaker are three recent additions to my reading list, all written by friends of mine who are sisters in Christ, and ladies I respect and with whom I share many commonalities, so their post hit home with me every time!
Thanks ladies for your fabulous blogs! I read and enjoy them greatly!!
