December 23 – Caroling to Shut-Ins

One of my favorite traditions at St. John’s is Christmas caroling to our shut-in members.  This year we had a group of 10 fabulous singers and we sang to 10 members and many more friends in the nursing homes and assisted living facilities we visited.

12/12/12 was an awesome day for so many reasons!! Trees were set up at church. I went to visit Linus at the Library and mailed all my Christmas packages at the Post Office. The school kids played hockey in the parking lot.  And … Stanley got his acceptance letter for Carleton!!!!

December 8 – Snow arrives at St. John’s

Yippee for Saturday and yippee for snow!  The first real snow of the season looks pretty and isn’t too deep yet. But more is on the way. Enjoyed trying out the new camera in the snow!

I had the privilege of spending the evening with my dear sisters in Christ who are members of St. John’s Hosanna Circle.  It is our annual tradition to decorate the church basement, and we always have a lot of fun doing it.  Who knew it could look so lovely?
